Your location belongs to you.

1. Scope and our role

This Privacy Policy applies to the GPS Tracker Family Location Android application and related support services provided by Moonspace (“Moonspace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The app helps people in a mutually approved family circle share location and safety information.

2. Information we process

Location information

With your permission, the app may process precise or approximate device location, location accuracy, timestamps, and derived places or zone events. If you enable ongoing sharing, location may be processed while the app is not visible. Android displays a persistent notification while this service is active.

Profile and circle information

We process your display name, app-generated account and device identifiers, circle membership, invitations, roles, and the people you approve for location sharing. A phone number entered in the number-region tool is analyzed on your device and is not uploaded to Moonspace.

Device and service information

We process an app-generated device identifier, device model, app version, battery percentage, sharing status, and service events needed to operate and secure the service. We use a salted hash of the connection IP address for registration abuse prevention and do not retain the raw IP address in the app database.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process the information you send, such as your email address, message, and any diagnostic details you choose to provide.

3. How we use information

• Show your device location and the latest approved member locations.
• Deliver invitations and maintain consent-based circle membership.
• Display the sharing status and let you stop sharing at any time.
• Protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability.
• Respond to support requests and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell precise location. We do not use precise location to build advertising profiles or serve location-targeted advertising.

4. When information is shared

Your location may be shared with members of a circle only after the required connection and sharing approvals. Depending on the feature, approved members may see your latest location, update time, battery level, and sharing status.

We also use service providers that support app operation, including:

• Google Maps Platform and Google Play services for maps, device location, and app distribution.
• Cloud infrastructure providers for encrypted transmission, storage, authentication, security, and service monitoring.
• Professional advisers or authorities when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.

5. Retention

We retain information only for as long as needed for the feature, security, legal, and support purposes described here. Cloud location records are normally retained for no longer than 30 days and are deleted with the account. Account and circle records are retained while your account is active. Limited security records may be retained only when required for fraud prevention or legal obligations.

6. Your controls and choices

• Pause location sharing from Settings or the persistent notification.
• Change location and notification permissions in Android Settings.
• Remove a member or leave a circle to revoke future access.
• Clear locally cached location from the app.
• Delete your account and associated cloud data from Privacy and data in the app.
• Request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us.

7. Security and international processing

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, least-privilege service access, and restricted production credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.

8. Children and family use

The service is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed for independent use by children. A parent or legal guardian must manage any family use involving a minor and ensure that use complies with local law. We do not knowingly collect a child’s information without the authorization required by law.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated effective date and provide additional notice when required.
